I feel my kid is too childlike to be on myspace... is here anything that i can download or any settings that i can adjust to not allow him to capture on myspace?

Answers: You didn't utter anything just about what caring of internet access you hold. If your setup includes a router, you can block any website you want beside the router's URL filter.
Just turn ahead and use the Internet Explorer Content Advisor software contained by the option, it will allow you to block sites base on rating or block or allow sites regardless of rating.
Put it beneath your restricted sites

If you hold Norton Anti Virus in attendance is picking on here for locking some pattern sites out . If you dont hold norton , later in recent times try any indemnity that you hold . The one that protects you from virus .
go to your parental control and put in www.myspace.com.. and not allow users to procure on the webaddress..
Put it in your restricted sites in your browser.
Here are two ways to do this on a home framework.

1). If you own a router setup join the following IP's to your Outbound Packet Filter settings.

You want to put these in as the Destination IP and the port is 80 for adjectives of them.

63.208.226.219
63.208.226.24-63.208.226.28
63.208.226.40-63.208.226.43

Many routers enjoy different interfaces so I cannot put in the picture word for word how to do this for respectively router. So please read the instructions that come near your router it should explain how to do this. Try visit the manufacture website if the instructions don't cover setting up packet filter.

2). If you don't own a router afterwards you will want to modify the Hosts directory on respectively computer by foot.

First, expand the following report next to Notepad. (Note: The Hosts record does not own a record extenstion, this is by design so don't supply it a record extenstion because you reason it desires one )

Note: You should form a backup of the Hosts profile and put it somewhere risk-free surrounded by casing you mess up.

Windows XP
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\et...

Windows 2000
C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\...

Windows 98
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\et...

Copy the following IP's...

# block myspace.com
127.0.0.1 63.208.226.219
127.0.0.1 63.208.226.24
127.0.0.1 63.208.226.25
127.0.0.1 63.208.226.28
127.0.0.1 63.208.226.40
127.0.0.1 63.208.226.41
127.0.0.1 63.208.226.42
127.0.0.1 63.208.226.43

Now smooth mixture them into the Hosts record after 127.0.0.1 localhost

Should look close to this...

# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a indication HOSTS record used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This record contains the mappings of IP address to host name. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual queue. The IP address should
# be placed surrounded by the first column followed by the corresponding host given name.
# The IP address and the host describe should be separated by at lowest one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the contraption given name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.pinnacle.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.zenith.com # x client host

127.0.0.1 localhost

# block myspace.com
127.0.0.1 63.208.226.219
127.0.0.1 63.208.226.24
127.0.0.1 63.208.226.25
127.0.0.1 63.208.226.28
127.0.0.1 63.208.226.40
127.0.0.1 63.208.226.41
127.0.0.1 63.208.226.42
127.0.0.1 63.208.226.43

Then amass the Hosts directory and your done.
