Tools > Internet Options > Delete Browsing History and choose what you craving to delete.

If your using Firefox a moment ago jump to Tools and click "Clear Private Data". If your not using Firefox I recommend getting it (you can even set it up so it clears the cache every time you close the browser!).

If your really concerned give or take a few privacy, here are still traces of your online commotion stored contained by the registry and "index.dat" files that cannot be removed from inside your browser. CCleaner will remove these "index.dat" files making adjectives recouping particularly difficult. CCleaner is free and removes adjectives traces of your online comings and goings (highly recommended).

Good answer, Mr. Adams.

I also recommend Spybot: Seek and Destroy. While it eliminate cookies, it checks for spyware that your browser doesn't detect, making it invaluable in protecting your comp.
If you use Internet Explorer... it's lower than Tools>Internet option. Under "impermanent internet files" at hand is a button for delete cookies.
