I enjoy a ADSL wireless modem-2wire 2700HGV-2 and a Dlink-Dl 524 wireless router..
Both modem support encryption for wireless.
2wire encryption:
WEP-OPEN
WEP-SHARED
WPA-PSK
WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK
WPA2-PSK
Dlink encryption:
OPEN
WEP....@6...
802.1X....@6...
WPA-PSK.@TKIP/A...
WPA..@...
WPA2-PSK(AES)
WPA2(AES)
WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK
Should i create a wireless access point on 2WIRE or DLINK??
And what is the best encryption to use??
For Dlink encryption on 802.1x, WPA and WPA2(AES), please prepare me how to set up 802.1X Settings

Use your router to enforce encryption. WPA is stronger than WEP. Also if you enjoy the resort, use MAC filter on the router to bound access to your AccessPoint. To access your routers control panel type in 192.168.1.1 as an url. To find your computers MAC address press the window button+r>type contained by "cmd" lacking the "" hit enter. once contained by dos type "getmac"
Your wireless access point would be your router.
As far as the encryption is concerned; any should be fine. It's not approaching you're going to enjoy some hacker trying to hack your lattice password. =P
