Run them both as no single anti-spyware can capture 'em adjectives!
AdAware Free is an on-demand scanner individual and have no real-time resident protection. AVG A-S have real-time protection single contained by the "paid-for version" after the trial time of year is over. So nearby should be no conflict.

i run several but not at alike time (incl Spybot, Spyblaster, etc)
sometimes one will lock in something the others didn't block
Personally I wouldn't progress beside AVG, for spyware run next to spyware doctor 5.0 (4.0 free online), for virus protection not Norton-antivirus move about beside Zonealarm. They get product awards for fitting cause found over 100 spyware/etc on my computer. Saved my @$$.
