Norton anti virus or mcafee?

i'm not fundamentally right near this kindly of stuff, but i simply bought a untried sony vaio ($1300) and i really don't want to risk anything up to it, so i entail to know which is better, norton or mcafee? i know norton is realllyyy flawless but like mad of ethnic group enunciate it slows down your computer a great deal, does mcafee do matching? which one is the best? and do they enjoy similar prices?

Answers: McAfee Slow down the computer too. First, my uncle said to me to buy the McAfee. My parents bought it. Then my computer started to running massively slow. It take more time for start up your computer. By the passageway, it protects everything. You should buy the Norton 360. It is faster than the McAfee. I uninstalled McAfee. Now, I enjoy Norton 360. It protect's everything. It have adjectives. But it cost rather bit more. So, you downlaod this free Grisoft virus software. You can use this free antivirus edition. It's Faster than these 2. Buy Norton 360. It protect's everything.

Have a righteous year next to your computer!
Neither. Try AVG 7.0 Free edition or Avast 4.7. Both are free for unlimited home use and gain regular updates. I've tried them both and recommend them. And if you try one of them and similar to it, both AVG and Avast are available as paid-for 'Pro' version, though the free version are fine for fully protecting a home PC.
Actually both those slow down your system deeply. I'd recommend http://www.free-av.com/

It's gotten VERY appropriate reviews from several of the tech magazine, PC world, etc. There are option to hold it update itself automatically, etc. Just install it right away, until that time you download anything else, so you can be protected from virus.

Also, manufacture sure you install Spybot's Search and Destroy, and Lavasoft's Ad Aware.
I enjoy used both and found them awfully efficient. You should install both of them on your computer because one anti-virus may not detect something while another might. It shouldn't be a problem.
I individually use McAfee and I perfer it.
Okay, first of adjectives. NEITHER! They are both the devil! I work next to computers and hold a computer programmer friend and know neither of them are appropriate.

Norton: Lags your computer horribly, updates automatically and vitally ruins your computer.

McAfee: Ruins your computer, can't achieve the dang program bad!

So, I will direct you to the best program out at hand! Many fortune 500 companies use this program on their computers. It's call CA Virus Protection. Here are some facts:

Up to $1,500 Protection
Protects up to 3 PC's
Detects 100% of viruses
Scans emails automatically
Defends against emerging viruses
Protects files, downloads and attachments
Anti-virus software Certified by Virus Bulletin
more..

It's a wonderful program! Never have a problem next to it! I outstandingly suggest this program if you truly yearning to protect your computer and not ruin it.

AVG Free is a moral program, along next to Spybot Search & Destroy and AdAware-SE. But I'm guessing you want a top of the rank virus protection for your computer. I would suggest getting Spybot S&D and AdAware-SE along beside CA.

Spybot S&D Website: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index...
AdAware: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

Hope this help! Peace!
I read aloud neither. Norton isn't adjectives that moral, and within masses respects, neither is McAfee. Both will slow your computer and both are difficult to completely uninstall following, if you longing to switch to something else.

I recommend to clients for their personal use:

One firewall (free for personal use: Zone Alarm or Comodo; google both, clear your choice, do not rely on the Windows personal firewall).

One anti-virus (oh, you will win profoundly of warmth on this ask, near little light): I use and recommend AVG Free. There are others that are biddable, but my own experience is that AVG Free is apt satisfactory...(unless you do a neutral bit of risky surfing)...and easier to use than nearest-performance competitors.

Some spyware protection (the free for personal use version require that you update and scan manually; won't diary scan or automatically check for updates). I use Ad Aware, Spybot and SuperAntispyware (and habitually I do not recommend the latter to some clients, because indiscriminate or undiplomatic use might result in a problem). AVG also make worthy spyware protection software.

I also use CCleaner to verbs my complicated drive...and recommend its use singular near consideration to those not technically inclined. (You can use Windows disk cleaner.)
I close to AVG. There is a free copy I use on two out of three of our computers. It have be really biddable. You own to download updates every afternoon, but you choose the time. The scan, which you also choose, take just about 45 minutes and you can shrink it and keep hold of on doing what you're doing . It have worked outstandingly powerfully. I also use SpyBot, which is also free. I own lots a smaller amount problems in a minute that we use these free version. I hear in the order of them on Kim Komando's radio show on computer and tech stuff. www.komando.com

If you are going to retribution for anti-virus, suggest of buying AVG. It is superior to the others.
I personal prefer Norton Antivirus, probable slow down the computer a bit bit but I immediately that my computer is secured.
I've have McAfee for 8 months and nought ever happen to my computer. I've never tried Norton Anti Virus so I don't know how upright it is. Most of the ancestors I know own McAfee so I'm guessing it's a upright anti virus. Go next to McAfee.
McAfee Total Protection or McAfee Internet Security. No Norton.
Holy Anti-Virus ! Now none of the answers enjoy
any thumbs up . So how does one truly opt ?
I use Norton and yes it does give the impression of being to slow down my computer seriously at start up . I am guessing it checks everything
at start up , is this correct ? Isn't that a fitting point ?
Still I one-sidedly will it could do that without
slowing down the start up process .
I do know I own have no problems save for the slow start up . After that its snatched as can be for dignified speed/cable .
No complaints here.
As far as automatic up date isn't that a angelic piece to?
With adjectives the crazy inhabitants out in that trying to mess things up you inevitability adjectives the protection you can capture right ?
Kinda close to you gotta enjoy gas for your motor to capture places . The farther you drive the more gas and conservation right ?
Norton Internet Security I use it

My yahoo psyche is nw14333
i help yourself to it you hold window vista (since you right to be heard it's a untried comp)?

i'd probably recommend avast (as resourcefully as the others). adjectives you own to do is register it, and you can hold it for free for a year (for evaluation). should you consider buying it, it's not that expensive.

anti-spyware, i'd recommend ad-aware (as others hold mentioned). alot of the programs (antispyware, etc.) that i own, don't read out they work near vista however. i typically use spyware blaster, spybot rummage & verbs, etc. (i'm basically not sure roughly vista)

since you are using limewire, i'd recommend purchasing ad-aware (since the free edition isn't legitimate time, you enjoy to initiate scan afterwards), or another clothed anti-spyware program.

since i hold dsl, i use those programs (computer associates antivirus) for free, and i use avast, etc., on other comps (friends), that don't enjoy any antivirus programs.

fyi, since i in recent times bought another comp (not that i needed another one, but the public sale be too honourable to endorse up), to be precise vista, i'm going to find out what adjectives is available for vista. g/l on doesn`t matter what you settle on, sos

oops, i also customarily use zone alarm firewall (which you can use for free), in recent times not sure almost vista
