Try doing a network base scan from

this should scna an remove it if it is virus of some kindly (that includes trojan).
If it is spyware you can try spybot explore and verbs from here:

After you run those you should be OK
reboot and do another complete scan to be sure it's gone until that time enable the system restre again.
I significantly recommend installing antivirus / firewall suite from a reliable purveyor resembling mcafee and keeping it automatically updates and configured properly.

ad-aware is a spyware remover. its not really built to detect and remove virus. run an anti-virus software to present more removal option. if you don't own one you can download avg or avast!. they are free.
