I own not set a password to login my workstation. but somehow when i switched on my workstation yesterday i be asked to enter user dub and password. i enjoy be using it for 6 months and i hav not face that problem ever since i bought. i hav window XP. I am sure not a soul have set up any password.

Try this...at the window log on eyeshade, hit the "ESC" push button twice...
Log on next to user heading: Administrator
Password: "password", "123" or "pass" (quotes removed)
yes this problem is adjectives it can take place when your workstation is artificial beside virus or some problems within one of the softwares you enjoy installed it, so Just you own to re-install the window which will reset your PC to the manufacture settings
Someone have really set a password on it. Computer never works alone. It desires a personality to run it. Ask your colleagues.
I see this too much from the answers, "Reinstall your system" that should be the ending resort. Someone have added a password to your sysrtem somehow. The method of "pressing return" characteristic worked on win 98 and ME but I would similar to to know if it works on XP or Vista.
