In XP , Vista does not support this.
Add password to a compressed profile or folder.
Right click on the folder or folder, choose dispatch to compressed report.
Double click on the compressed profile to widen.
On the menu railing click on File and after "Add a Password"
Delete productive uncompressed profile or folder.
This password can be broken.

Not Sure. Why, What are you hiding? LOL. I guess you could try right clicking the folder and looking at the option, or you can hit the start button and budge to the control panel. Hope this help. L8r.
You can download an encryption program or a short time ago sort the obscured so not a soul could see them approaching bring in a folder after obscure it some where on earth on your comp :)
if u r using NTFS afterwards for indemnity u can use CACLS from DOS.
Using CACLS u can restrict any user to spread out this folder
Syntax:
Cacls foldername /p administrator:n

There is no provision in Windows itself to password protect individual folders.
