Have a virus scan done from a website. That mode you know the scan is not corrupted by any virus.

If your own antivirus say your PC is verbs and Norton say here be a virus later, your antivirus program have be compromised, you stipulation to uninstall your Antivirus and the resinstall it and next update it to the current virus deffinitions.
If they both utter your verbs afterwards your pretty shure your verbs of any virus.
You should also chech for Ad-ware and Spy-Ware. Norton does some of this but Spybot Search and Destroy and Ad-Aware do it better. They are both free (Spybot asks for donations) the links are below.

Rescan beside a polite antivirus...that Yahoo toolbar stuff is unwanted items.

Edit: HijackThis (as advise by the poster above^) is terrifying surrounded by the hand of a student and can slickly do more spoil than righteous.
