A question for computer geeks (or possibly not necessarily?): can someone hack a soul via the Soulseek program?
It's jammy to retrieve the IP and port number on it, but can someone certainly hack me down?
I hold used some hack programs a long time ago, a short time ago to see how it works and highly normally a firewall or anti-virus program save the soul... so, can I believe that I am undamaging, if my anti-virus and firewall are on? If not, how do I protect my computer?
I would be totally grateful for the answer from the folks WHO in truth KNOW. No guessing, single concrete information.

I would be really circumspect around report sharing applications (too popular beside the clueless mass). As a event of reality I would be *really* mindful of any executable software coming from unaccountable sources.
Why? It is a formality to embed push button loggers, Trojans or other hurtful fund doors within executable applications.
I don't thrust anti-virus programs mostly because they are surrounded by *reactive* and not within *preventive* mode. Basically, they work, once they've be told of a spiteful application (read: they constantly necessitate to be up to date).
On the other mitt your firewall is a thrust-able friend unless... unless you bring inside unpleasant applications!
You're firewall does not prevent you from access the trellis right? how could it prevent a nasty application from doing so for unscrupulous comings and goings?
so to fashion a long story short, yes it is possible. am I sure? no, I do not use soulseek. You might be interested in study give or take a few packet sniffers; cram how to monitor exchange cards communications and see if anything fishy is going on when you turn your stern on your computer...
to protect your computer, format, start from score, install *thrust-able* applications, create a regular user rationalization (so that you won't gain suckered surrounded by installing software you did not be a sign of to), later connect to the Internet and save your hand verbs!
