I suspect they are trying to get rid of me their antivirus program for $50. They claim that they found 3 warranty risks including 1 prevailing conditions risk item. I run AVG 7.5 and Spybot and found no problems. My question: Should I be worried? if so, what conduct should I bear?
Answers:
I bear it you do not enjoy Norton on your contraption? To my skill, Symantec doesn't run unrequested scan and later try to provide their product. I suspect a double-scam by someone else.
Good luck.
Most adjectives computers own bugs and spam but Norton runs checks because during installation it asks if you want it to do it every afternoon or every other or every week etc. and at what time.
Some programs find things that for example AVG won't find, zilch to verbs around, if Norton really bugs you purely uninstall it.
I hope you're pleased.
If you do not enjoy Norton Antivirus installed, and did not ask for a scan, I would be concerned. As far as I know, Symantec does not operate that channel. If your existing tools find nought, and your computer seem to run OK, I would not verbs.
no entail to verbs, of late hold on to updating your antivirus though, try scan within past the worst mode where on earth adjectives processes are disabled..their you can really see if within's an infection of some sort..
take exactness of the risks, plausible tracking cookies, and no avg does not look for them. after remove nortons unless you want it through add/remove control panel, or budge to here network site for removal tool.
The lone approach Norton can scan your computer is if you dance to their website and click on the free scan.
It sounds to me close to spyware be unknowingly downloaded from the circumstance. You call for to verbs up your computer.
Go to the AVG website (www.grisoft.com or www.download.com) and catch the free antispyware. Also, clear sure you own a apposite firewall on your computer. www.download.com or www. komando.com. Also, construct sure your po-up blocker is working.
Tools, Pop-up blocker, Turn Pop-up blocker on. Also, turn to Start, All Programs, see if Norton Antivirus is tabled. If it is and give you the choice to uninstall it within, consequently do that. Otherwise, progress to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, scroll to Norton Antivirus and click on Change/Remove and remove it. It that doesn't do it, turn to the Norton website and use their uninstall program to remove it.
Norton, to the best of my expertise, does not a short time ago do any scan short your consent.
First of adjectives... you shouldn't own two different antivirus programs installed on your computer. This can bring both to not work properly.
Second of adjectives... if Norton is on your computer and properly configured next it should be downloading automatic updates and it should own programmed scan set to see bad occasionally.
The path antivirus programs work is near are two pieces... the scanner engine and the library dat or signature files.
The engine is what you install when you first bring the program... the updates are continuously count virus signatures to the library wallet (this is how the scaner know what to look for)... so if one is finding virus consequently that's probably the one that's properly updating.
I suggest you remove the second virus scanner from your computer and save your subscription up to date beside the other.
If you suspect your antivirus is worn-out properly you can do a net base scan from here:
http://housecall65.trendmicro.com/...
and after fix your regular scanner. you may enjoy to completely remove it and reinstall it in some cases when a second a/v have be installed... but i suggest you not do this until the virus are cleaned.
apposite luck.
