Download a program call Windows Installer Cleanup Utility from
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301. Use it to remove remaining traces of delete programs.
Read the instructions and be wary. It works.
Usually if you hold delete the program manually (which is a fruitless view since programs install files in more than newly the one location)... if you click add/remove programs and hit remove a couple times it will usually afford you a message similar to "the application appears to no longer exist.. should I remove it from list" and consequently a moment ago click yes.
You could also reinstall the program and next uninstall it properly via the add/remove programs to ensure that you remove all files.
righteous luck.
Add/Remove 4good is what I use, it is better than Windows Add/Remove.
When you click on software to remove, this really give them the boot.
