Hi guys, I removed all my protection software and reloaded it.
All is fine apart from Zone alarm, I checked window firewall which be on, when I changed settings to aqnother firewall special the weindows frirewall turned ofcf as usual but i never remembered seeing the firewall clause going red.
I aM USING VISTA. I am a disabled user and own impressively set experience. Since reloading zonealarm around simply over 1 hour ago it have onbly picked up 4intrusions, is this ok? It w3eorries me seeing the firewall quantity contained by window payment surrounded by pink or red. I hope u can apprehend my ewriting etc.

From the sounds of it you own Zone Alarm enabled, as it would not pick up any intrusion attempts if it be ruined.
As noted already, you hold extramural protection through your BT hub, so don't expect a giant number of attempts. (Just have a snatched check of mine and no attempts since I built this PC over 1 week ago!).
Vista protection should spot the Firewall and acknowledge that it is working by giving you a green street light: are you sure you hold installed the most modern copy of Zone Alarm?
Try going to their site and picking the most recent magazine up, an update come out a few days ago so would be worth getting the hottest altered copy installed anyway.
Not sure Wat ur after here..but if you want2 check intrusions attempted at your computer ports, goto cntrl panel, Win Firewall (adv tab)>warranty logging>settings and this will make available you a log of adjectives attempted guarantee breaches on your PC. Alt..goto FireLog (www.2brightsparks.com) to attain a more transparent and user friendly overview.
it sounds resembling the ZA firewall is correctly set up. a few instrusion attempts over an hr is in the region of right (less if you are losing a router )
and it's fine that the window firewall is disabled.
