I found on www.download.com that Norton is rate next to a 2 star and the PC Tools is rate next to a 3 star from the user and 4 star from CNET

norton will protect you better, some will say aloud its a resource hog etc..
i own but to see that on any notebook next to norton on it.
Norton is instrument better but it's not the best and uses CPU. Use F-secure, Kaspersky, Avira, Active Virus Shield, or Bitdefender.

PC Tools anti-virus Free edition does everything that an anti-virus have to do, and for free. Hence, it get a illustrious rating. Norton may be slightly better overall, but it updates weekly, is a big resource hog and is NOT free. That make it a poor scorer. If you want to buy an anti-virus, dance for Kaspersky / BitDefender / NOD32; if you want a free one (believe me, they do their commission enormously efficiently), catch anyone scheduled below:
