I enjoy an ancient computer and be preparing to break it up, concerned almost culture hack into the frozen drive. Does anyone know of a charity organisation which take computers but removes the complicated drive back endorsement on for reuse?

First reformating the harddrive does not backing if someone really want to hack into your harddrive.The best bearing is to verbs it , something similar to that guy suggested.
Ways of destroying , unscrew it , tack hammer it , use compelling objects to destory the datas.

Download a program call "Eraser" and erase yr rock-hard disk first. If not, adjectives yr information will be smoothly recoverable ...

No, YOU should lug the complex drive out. Then you own two choices:
1. Full format a minumum of seven times and reuse/sell (this clears information well)
2. Destroy, confidently done by merely first showing the knotty drive. A thorny drive have to be kept contained by cleanroom-like conditions, any dust particle can create a spark producing crash. After exit it if you really want to be sure it's undamagingly destroyed I notably recommend a 3-pound tack hammer and fluff up the crap out of it. Oh and please YouTube that video!

Recommend that you down nouns Darik's Boot & Nuke. It will erase everything beyond recouping. No obligation to remove the drive. Formatting is not an route.
If you're concerned, remove the harddrive yourself earlier you donate it. I wouldn't trust any consortium beside my harddrive.
All u involve to do is hold a magnet over the complex drive to erase it, or any format it. dont throw the HD away!
My local y.m.c.a club be asking for weak laptop's for member to use for training purposes but progress next to proposal of others for clearing h.d because I dont know anything more or less that.
