I don't use the pctool firewall but hold used AVAST. AVAST does this sometimes near firewalls, but I mull over it's the firewall thats blocking your anti virus from updating. I would look through the setting of the firewall and try and free the AVAST program. If you can't find it in recent times steal it past its sell-by date and put it pay for on again but don't block it subsequent time. Hope that help, cart vigilance. Use the free zone alarm firewall it's better and easier to use.
Modify the firewall rules and affix an exception for the updating application
Well, the solution is simple.
You freshly inevitability to budge into the settings of your firewall and evolution the settings for your antivirus so that the firewall give it access to the internet.
I don't know almost pctool firewall settings, but the settings should be in Programs, thats where on earth you can muddle through manually to allow your antivirus to own access to the internet.
I own ZoneAlarm and I don't know how similar it is (maybe you ought to switch over :)) but it starts out asking authority for programs and can swot which ones you read aloud yes and which ones you say-so no. Things close to "anti-virus update" yes, "formatdrivevirus.exe" no. Or merely turn rotten your firewall temporarily and manually force the antivirus to update, though this can be frustrating if it updates approaching everyday.
