Besides Symantec, what is a suitable PC virus protection program?

I'm looking specifically for something near a smaller footprint. It seem resembling virus protection take up partly the resources currently!


Answers: I have an idea that that Nod32 or Avast Antivirus
McAfee or Kaspersky.
I use McAfee at home, never have a problem. *knock on wood*

There's also Norton.
