If you're running XP You can located and verbs spyware using a spyware/adware removal tool. I recommend Spybot S&D, it's the best utility out nearby and does a fantastic living (there is another tool, adaware by lavasoft, but S&D is better). AND it's free and effortless to use.

When you install, be sure to install the updates and after vaccinate your computer. Then run the scan and this will find / remove spyware obscured on your computer.
You can repeat this up to 3 times for optimum results, as sometimes spyware/ad-ware is clandestine contained by layer and isn't caught on the first scan.
