If you're running XP You can catch rid of this using a spyware/adware removal tool. I recommend Spybot S&D, it's the best utility out here and does a fantastic errand (there is another tool, adaware by lavasoft, but S&D is better). AND it's free and effortless to use.

When you install, be sure to install the updates and consequently vaccinate your computer. Then run the scan and this will find / remove spyware undetected on your computer.
You can repeat this up to 3 times for optimum results, as sometimes ad-ware is secret surrounded by layer and isn't caught on the first scan.
Good to try and run this care every week or so a short time ago to hold your PC tuned.
Also, if you're using Internet Explorer 7 I strongly suggest you switch browsers and use FireFox 2. Best browser available and is much more safe and sound.
