Well, if you own limewire, and don't use it, you won't bring back a virus from it. However, I support Norton Anti-virus, reviews right to be heard it is the best one for detection and removal of virus threats.
I use Limewire adjectives the time, and the best anti-virus to find is AVG Anti-virus. It's free, and totally functional near a material time scanner that will preserve those pesky little buggers away from your knotty drive.

You must be using your brother's computer. I don't think through why he hasn't installed the stuff on it himself. Oh ably, do the following.
Go to www.komando.com and look for her free indemnity software.
You're going to need
1 Antivirus program
3 Antispyware programs
1 Firewall Program (once you've downloaded and installed it, be sure to go to Control Panel, window Firewall and click Off, afterwards ok. Windows Firewall sucks. Doesn't protect upright.)

I use Avast Antivirus and have realtime scan for p2p applications approaching Limewire and BitTorrent. Best of adjectives it is free for Home use and it does a really well turned-out duty!
Please do your ISP's maltreat department (and your brother, as resourcefully as whoever's given name your internet service is in) a favor and do not use Limewire. That program is so once in a blue moon used for virtuous, endorsed purposes, and is more potential to mess up your [brother's] PC, even beside anti-virus and anti-spyware software installed. Also if you take caught sharing copyrighted files, your ISP could shut down your internet service.
