No.4 Which edition of Windows are you running? XP or Vista, both of these version will try to detect what considerate of anti virus software that you are running in your window protection center.

**I suspect that its the window indemnity center thats NOT recognize AVAST for some purpose thats not clear here. I doubt that you enjoy done anything wrong this sounds similar to one of those Microsoft window problems associated beside the guarantee center thats built into the up-to-the-minute window version. Sadly whilst the payment center seem similar to a pious theory it also add considerable complexity to an already totally complex product i.e. window.

Turn it on
If you enjoy the antivirus installed and running economically, so only cut the alert! its simply window!lol

Or try reinstalling the antivirus.
The avast virus protection must be sour. There should be a function at hand that would turn your avast on (without need to in actuality get underway avast, it should be running in the background).
Do you hold Avast on-access scanner on?
It may be that it is not registered beside Windows as the anti-virus program you are using..

You can turn bad the notification by going into Contro Panel > Security Center.
There should be an leeway to set the notification for anit-virus.

I do not see it on mine but I recall it be here in the past, but I am not sure. Give it a try.
I dont similar to Avast anyway. Go for AVG if you quality similar to it - intuitively I feel its better.
If you are running XP & are undeniably sure that Avast anitvirus is running after do the following:
Click 'Start'
Click on 'Control Panel'
Click on 'Windows payment Centre'
When the fanlight comes up, look at the record on the vanished and click 'renovation the process Security Centre alerts me'
In the subsequent pane that pops up, uncheck the box 'virus protection'. Click 'ok' and after close adjectives boxes/windows.
That should stop windows nagging at you! It may be that Windows does not 'recognise' Avast antivirus.
WARNING: Only do this if you are categorically sure you hold virus protection running. I cannot be held responsible if you later grasp virused!
