I am base the word "Hacker" on the definition that associates surrounded by the medium consider the word. Most of these definition are what I'd christen a "Cracker," and here is much debate within the Hacker community on the use of the entitle.
You are the medium's definition of a hacker if you bump into any of these criteria:
1. A personality who breaks into, or attempts to break into, or use, a computer gridiron or system in need authorization, regularly at indiscriminate, for personal amusement or gratification, and not necessarily near unkind intent.
2. [An] unauthorized user who attempts to or gain access to an information system (IS).
3. A technically sophisticated computer expert who intentionally gain unauthorized access to targeted protected resources.
4. Loosely, a computer enthusiast.
5. A being who uses a computer resource within a bearing for which it is not intended or which is arguing near the language of an acceptable-use policy, but (unlike the work of a cracker) is not necessarily wicked contained by intent.
So, by number 4's definition, anyone who like computers is a hacker... Therefore nullifying the call for to mention horrid intent.
