A proxy is site where on earth you can surf the pattern so your ip is unknown by the proxy server.but be carefull not to use that to kind unpromising things grounds at the extreme the proxywebsite owner could retrieve the user ip if needed...
If you use them lately to cover your ip or to bypass blocked site at hand are drastically past the worst to use.
