Because of BST and GMT
Because the UK puts the clocks forward an hour in the summer & India does not
It,s to do near the certainty that the sun can't be shining everywhere in the world at equal time. Unless the worlds flat explicitly.
The UK put their clocks forward one hour in summer. If India doesn't after the time difference will be greater during British Summer Time,
Because we alter our clocks in summer time and afterwards revert hindmost to Greenwich meantime surrounded by the winter. In India they do not alter their clocks hence the difference in relative time.
There are two timings in England. The summer time and winter time. Because of the longer days in summer (May - October), the English time is advanced by one hour from GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). So it become 4 and partially hours losing Indian Standard Time (IST). For the Winter (Novermber - April), the time is again changed and alligned beside GMT and become 5 and partially hours losing IST.
we alter our clocks by 1 hour from G.M.T to B.ST.
