I use AOL's Active Virus Shield powered by Kaspersky, but alas, it is no longer available. When Kaspersky eventually stops updating it, I will jump rear legs to AVG 7.5 Free:

I use a fundamentally efficient anti-virus program NORTON. It cleans 99% virus and filter plentiful unwanted messages to the comatose box.

A correct free virus scan is AVG which you can find in
http://www.download.com/ and I use McAfee
