Donot trust Avast alone. I am not sure if Kaspersky works on Vista, But Kaspersky is patently better than Avast. I used both and found far better results beside Kaspersky. If you want to use Avast still, use Kaspersky Anti-Hacker instead of Zone-Alarm.
