Check the below microsoft page for the full details. As long as you own a firewall turned on, and do not allow exceptions or unequivocal ports, it is VERY difficult for someone to get hold of contained by to your computer remotely. File and Printer sharing in actual fact OPENS an assortment of ports contained by the window firewall. Not allowing exceptions breaks the sharing aspect. This is the trade-off.
