I hold IP address of computer that tried to hack into mine, what can I do?




Answers: There isn't much you can do, besides informing the owner of the IP (some ISP) which you can lookup by putting Reverse DNS lookup (and/or WHOIS lookup). These lookups can be perform at dnsstuff.com.

First you own to see what Internet provider have this address.Go to Samspade.org. and do a Whois enquiry.Just type the ip address into the dig out paddock.You will find out the ip provider and an E-mail address to report swearing.With a touch luck this hacker will own his article suspended.This is a severe punishment since in most areas nearby are not more after one or two hi speed internet providers.The poor guy will be support to using dial up.
