Can any sort of medium walk on a DVD disk?
I really own no thought! Thanks everyone. :-)

Answers: Honestly.the best agency to final up your information is to use an external thorny drive. You can usually pick one up from Best Buy or any retailer for around $79 - $99 depending on size. Backing up your notes to disc or DVD is primative and time consuming. Not to mention it doesn't other work and you other come to an end up beside cds adjectives ove rthe place.

The cool entity in the order of approval up to an external drive is that you can use it on other computers and if you enjoy any confidential info on it you can other lock it up contained by a sanctuary deposite box. Hope this help.
I scholarly this not long:

CD-R = A cd that can with the sole purpose burn once
CD-RW = A cd that you can burn on copious times (like a cassette that you can cassette over)
Same for the DVDs

Hope that helps
"CD-Recordable," and refers to a CD that can be burned. Recordable CDs can be one of two types - CD-R discs, which can single be written one time, and CD-RW discs, which can be written and erased numerous times.
DVD
Short for digital multi-use disc or digital video disc, a contemporary type of CD-ROM that holds a minimum of 4.7GB (gigabytes), plenty for a full-length movie. Many experts believe that DVD disks, call DVD-ROMs, will eventually replace CD-ROMs, as okay as VHS video cassette and laser discs. ...
Anything tye of folder can be written onto a cd or dvd. It freshly depends on what you want to play it on. If you put something on compact disc or DVD you'll other know how to read it on your computer or another computer near a CD/DVD drive, but conspicuously if you want to burn a record to play on a disc player it'll enjoy to be a music report and a disc.
CD-R Is a standard CD that can be written to by a CD or DVD writing drive.
CD-RW is rewritable, so once you've put something on it you could use it for a while, put it vertebrae surrounded by your PC, erase it and put something else on it.
The same go for DVD's but DVDs own a much larger storage size than C.D.s.
The prob I other found near CD-RWs is that a great deal of standard compact disc players wouldn't play them.
So if it's basically for backup the best would be to use DVD-R or DVD-RW as you'll know how to fit more onto it.
Definitely a DVD/CD combo - A DVD/CD drive will play and burn any CD or DVD. But doesn't your PC already enjoy an optical disk drive? I'm not sure what the prices are within the UK they are between 20-25 ($40-$50) and compact disc drives are even smaller amount. If you use CD's profusely you might buy a compact disc drive too because they're quicker.
You can burn any medium onto a DVD and they can store up to 4.7GB's, CD's are cheaper though.

EDIT* I must stop answering question tardy at hours of darkness!
You designed you lately want to know the difference between types of disk :-)
