Every 5 mins I'm person asked to intall update (abridged): 'Sec. Update Microsoft XML Core Svcs 4.0 Svc Pak 4.0 Pk2 (KB436181)'. I'VE F*N INSTALLED IT 20 TIMES!

Microsoft may be nuts..
but, try this:
Go to Control Panel>Automatic Updates
afterwards choose, Turn Off Automatic Updates.
It may work to solve your problem.
If it still doesn't work, Microsoft IS nuts!
