I am a investigational user of Centos 5 linux.I hold previously hold my Windows XP running in my system near four NTFS partition.I hold both XP and CentOs installation CDs.How to install CentOs 5.0 so as to enjoy a dual boot system next to XP?Please explain beside non-technical terms(for linux).
Answers: I don't know greatly in the region of Centos, but the install disk should own a partitioner on it. When you budge to start installing it will ask you to dividing wall disk space for linux (Linux uses swap space and ext3...those are folder systems resembling NTFS). It won't run on NTFS record format. So the space for Centos won't be accessible by Windows and vice versa (unless you return with special software).
It should meander you right through it, even install the boot loader.
