Answers: Don't have a sneaking suspicion that you can hammer Norton for antivirus software. They've be surrounded by business for years. Weekend sale here feature it free (while supplies lasted). I picked up a 3-license Norton 2007 for $9.99. You merely enjoy to keep watch on the ad regularly.
As for speed - nearby is abundantly you can do for yourself.
1. Set wallpaper and screensavers to blank or none — they run continuously in the conditions and use memory.
-----right-click on the desktop, select Properties
-----click the screensaver tab, on the moved out where on earth it say "screensaver," select none.
-----click the desktop tab, for circumstance, select none
2. Review your start menu – remove anything you don’t call for on a day after day justification — nouns games, etc. on an as-needed cause.
-----click Start, Settings, Taskbar and Start Menu

These things should increase speed and free up memory as much as possible.
