Re-Install it...
By removing from Add/Remove Programs, your documents would not hold be removed. Those files should be at hand ... Just check out the folders where on earth U have stored them and "My Documents"...
Go into trimmings and restore to a date until that time you removed your program.
Maybe it will work. Hope!
microsoft word is avail though a retro software retailer. or you may want to consider corel word ideal.
