I own an HP, window, 2007, Im running Vista. The program is Groove from Microsoft. It starts up and slows down my computer everytime I restart or turn it on. Please aid.

4. Click on Startup tab
5. Deselect adjectives programs that you don`t want to start when window starts
6. Apply
7. Ok
8. Restart your computer

It shows up in your control panel below "classic view" for vista. Just click through the tab and uncheck the stuff you dont want to start automatically at startup.
Theres thousands of other programs to do this for you but I've be using this one for years and its the smallest and most simplified bearing.
click on start and within the furrow box type surrounded by "msconfig' withouth the quotes.
click on selective startup and next click on start up items and next uncheck adjectives the unwanted items you don't want to automaticaly start up.
let go and it will ask to restart...

Right-click on the Taskbar (or you can right click on the "start" icon) and choose PROPERTIES
From the menu that appears, click the START MENU tab (it usually is already within by non-attendance.) Click the CUSTOMIZE button. Scroll through the inventory and check the items you'd prefer to see as a menu account instead of a skylight.
IF you NO LONGER want the program...click on the start deity. Then CONTROL PANEL and UNINSTALL PROGRAMS intertwine and uninstall it.
How just about you download CCleaner. This program is AWESOME. People recommend it alot. I use it myself to verbs the computer and it also let you control what programs to run when your computer starts.
