Can I be properly responsible for my company using pirated software?

I work for a company as a Graphic/Web Designer and due to my erudition of computers I also do the IT work for our organization. Since I install and setup all the bright computers I am one of the few populace contained by the company that know we use pirated software that my boss downloads at home. I know that the software is dubious but I cannot say aloud no to installing it if not I could be reprimanded or fired by my boss. If I verbs doing this and someone investigates my boss might point the finger at me, his "IT professional", and voice that he didn't know. If I don't report it can I be held rightfully responsible if I am the one i.e. installing the pirated programs?

Answers: Sounds approaching you're stuck between a "rock" and a 'intricate place".

First of adjectives, if you are ABSOLUTELY sure that the software is pirated, I'd suggest that you try to speak to your boss almost it. Remember, there's a big difference between fully pirated software and shareware, which COULD be justifiably installed in some cases.

Let's embezzle another example. If your boss told you to shoot another hand, and you DID, who do you mull over would be responsible for that employee's release? At the VERY most minuscule BOTH of you would be tag beside the crime. But since YOU did the actual shooting, and you know the difference between right and wrong, I'm guessing the biggest sentence would be head YOUR road.

Granted these are two different scenario, but contained by any suitcase you are unsophisticatedly "breaking the law", and you KNOW it.

Again, I'd try chitchat beside my boss in the past I get into trouble if I be you.

Good luck.
I would categorically CYA by keeping emails rather. I deduce you are collectively protected within bigger businesses, but it sounds similar to you work for a small company. There's zilch that say that your boss will "remember" giving you the SW to install if some legally recognized exploit get started.

Always CYA.
Yes, you installed it you open the crack prog. you clicked the button right?

Get him to release you from liability or your going to enjoy to be shown the license. Just take him to sign a waiver stating that you are not responsible for maintain or verify software ownership. If he doesn't your gone next to no other choice, threaten to turn him within, find a big portly tilt most IT's know things that within bosses don't want anyone else to know.
Its call bussines nouns...
sry bro but your contained by a sticky situation...
i would recommend not doing it...BUT if u do it and they found out you can a moment ago step ahead and narrate "whoever" that you did not know the software u be using be pirated...u be a short time ago following your bosses' directives...

GOOD LUCK
