I use two version of Excel at work and for both when I use the tab to move over one cell it shoots over to column T. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thank you for your aid surrounded by mortgage. This is driving me crazy.
Answers: Mystery solved, I reflect.
Try going to Tools - Options - Transition tab
See if "Transition navigation keys" is checked
If it is, un-check it.
I hope that fixes it for you.
Cheers.
.
i own used excel since 1980 whenit first appeared on a macintosh and consequently much subsequently on the PC.
The TAB button have ALWAYS be to credit a Page to the Right or if you hit Shift Tab -a page to the gone.
to navigate one cell at a time you use the arrow key solely.
it have never changed from mac to laptop or from revision to journal. I use Excel 2007 and it is still equal.
have a feeling free to contact me next to any excel question.
upright luck :)
I am using Excel 97 and Tab moves 1 cell at a time. It moves down or up 1 cell if you are in a highlighted col document.
Is it possible that the work computers are using masked software to re assign the Tab switch to move multiple cell at a time? Ican't find any usual explanation for your prob.
Just to complete your trouble shooting enjoy you tried hitting Tab a second time when it puts you in col T? Also try highlighting a vertical col 60 rows gaping and use Tab 2 times to see how far vertically respectively one get you.
Bottom dash is I don't suppose this is an Excel prob.
