I am considering putting Linux on my fresh laptop- but I requirement to know how difficult it would be to install programs. Particually fairly considerable and complicated programs ones that overload my laptop already (inventor). I want to know how difficult it is to install it- and not of late spectacle it through a program designed to mimic Windows. (can't remember what specifically called)
I've used linux a little- but I've other have a window computer to stir put a bet on to if I needed to use those programs. However, this laptop is going to be my one and only computer (moving out) so I want to know how (or at tiniest the difficulty) to do it since I do variation the OS.
Note: I know I can partion it and own window still available- but I don't own a big adequate frozen disk to that AND still own adjectives the programs I want on it.
Answers: There is a window emulator call WINE-Wine Is Not an Emulater. It does not work beside adjectives window programs, but it does work near heaps. Itunes even works. I also suggest Ubuntu linux, as your type of linux. Lastly, Just dont obtain rid of window! You can dual boot linux and window, so you could select which one you want to use everytime you start your computer.

some program can be install near no problem (mostly popular one)
MS bureau and photoshop can be installed easily
You can't install them, but most can be run through WINE. Since the different operating systems use completely different code, programs must be specifically written for that OS.
