"The lone approach I know to exterminate (at most minuscule most) of the vocals from a track is to invert mix the two channel to mono. Load the stereo record, select Edit-->Convert Sample Type..., later click on "mono" and set the vanished mix to 100% and the right mix to -100% (if the result clips you might want to muffle the mix level, or do the full point within 32-bit and normalize at the end)."
