I basically get a spanking new computer for Christmas concluding year and it is a Compaq SR2011WM. I own realize that I am a "Mac" party since around a month after I get this computer. It come clunked beside trial software and a bunch of crap. Now I obtain pop ups when im not even browsing the trellis and error messages and freeze ups up the ying-yang. This appears to be hardware near a bit of potential, it have an 80+ see HD and an Intel Celeron D processor and 512MB RAM. I basically judge it is not going to do impressively much for me next to dumb Windows XP Media Center edition on it. So I would similar to to purely clear out the entire not easy drive and start fresh on it beside Mac OS X so I can own better software. The question are: 1) Is this possible? 2) Is it legitimate? , and 3) How much will it cost me aside from the cost of Mac OS X? ANY give support to is GREATLY appriciated.

Get Linux, it is base bad Unix (the OS Mac OS is base on), it is free and you can install it along side Windows (Dual Boot) or run Windoze apps via WIne (

apple uses special chipset on motherboard as hardware protection to insure that can't be done - respectively time you put apple software contained by dvd drive it search for that chipset that individual apple have and refuse to install if it doesn't find it so
