Why is Windows more popular than MAC?

I hold used both, worked near Windows at job, after used Apple's at institution and other job. I hold both a Dell and a Mac at home, and use both for different things. After using both platforms immediately for the later 20 years, I really enjoy to confess that Mac's are much easier to set up and use, from everything to tally a printer to internet to wireless networks. I approaching my PC, but it seem EVERYTHING i enjoy to do on it requires a ridiculous amount of time, research, downloading, etc. I am in a alien hotel trying to use their wireless, and the mac picks it up instantly, but the PC is nil but a strain surrounded by the ***. It seem Dell installed a wireless driver i.e. interferring beside some other wireless program.see what I tight-fisted? I won't even achieve into the virus issue, near PC's human being hack more and getting more virus. So the interrogate is; how contained by the label of God does Apple one and only own a 5-8 percent marketplace share, next to an unambiguously superior product? Was is purely luck on Microsofts element?

Answers: Hi, not it wasn't luck. Its pretty simple really. When Windows was launch it be the most glib to use operating system in the world and it could run on any laptop. With Mac's u hold to buy their hardware adn use their stuff and software usually. With pc's u hold adjectives the choice surrounded by the world to install anything hardware u want and build ur computer according to ur requests and wishes. Mac's are over priced and not everyone will want to use them for that concern. If Apple only just keep their pc's prices what they r if truth be told worth next they could rule the bazaar. Microsoft at the begininning give ancestors exactly what they looked-for, they made systems so that even poor race could use them whereas Apple considers everyone self rich. I hold a Mac even though I am more fond of Linux.

Oh yeah I freshly want to supply Microsoft earlier wasn't the Microsoft presently. Now they don't really watchfulness something like consumers do they know associates don't hold any choice. When Microsoft first launch Windows they built it according to peoples taste and desires. They help populace out, did promotions and stuff. In other words at the time Apple didn't confer a s**t around associates or what consumers could in truth afford to buy.
I hope I help.
Good Luck!
Its not more "popular" as such, it is only that more ancestors own be using it at work and at home for the concluding 10 years because it be the chief choice.
Wait till the subsequent OS flea market share data come out and you might see that OS X is keeping up near Vista which is currently stalling because not a soul like it or desires to use it.

XP is little by little reducing as in flea market share.

Like Josh said, Macs are too expensive and where on earth can you buy one anyway? Seriously, where on earth can you buy a Mac? Bill Gates stated a long time ago that it be his aspiration to return with everybody contained by the world connected via the internet. You can step into any Wal-Mart and pick up a deeply key PC for a few hundred dollars that'll receive you hooked up to the internet in minutes.

Apple seem content to stay surrounded by a niche open market as far as computers turn, or they would ship stripped-down Macs to Wal-Mart and Target for the average user to buy.
Basically, this have to do near a couple things. When IBM made the PC, they released the specs and protocols for adjectives the components of the computer. This allowed third delegation manufacturer to "clone" the IBM PC. In the 80s and untimely 90s, IBM clone PCs , IBM compatible PCs, etc. be popping up adjectives over the place. You didn't enjoy to buy a nouns card or a motherboard made by IBM--components be made from a mixture of manufacturer, which logically made them both close by and cheap. Apple, equally, didn't release and exact background to the public and their computers be much more expensive.

The second article have to do beside the road Microsoft licensed DOS/Windows for use as an OS. I remember watching Pirates of Silicon Valley oodles years ago. There's one scene where on earth Bill gate is contained by the boardroom near adjectives the IBM execs, and they conduct yourself surprised that Bill Gates doesn't want to flog his OS to IBM for a considerable lump sum. I don't know if that scene is historically accurate or not, but they insisted that the money be contained by hardware, not surrounded by software.

Were they wrong? If the "genuine" IBM PCs be the just computer to use Microsoft's OS, would Windows be as popular as it is today?
It's assured IMHO. Mac's are easier, especially if you know intensely little. Windows, so far, allows users a faultless amount of control and so are more "complicated". Bottom Line is the $$$$.
I enjoy used both, and love the mac, but dont surmise I will ever own one. The basis is that whenever you travel into a computer store, over 90% of the store is for window platforms. Compare the cost of a program for window, and for the mac! Freeware, undo source, shareware, etc are mostly made for the PC.
