Microsoft solitary sell programs, and when they become popular and embezzle monopoly, everyone is forced into buying from them.

unless you want to switch to Ubuntu?

My reccomendation is to not buy it regardless of cost. Vista disallows tons of your existing programs and the TRUE expens is when you enjoy to replace software that you already own next to vista compatable software. Microsoft is mortal sued surrounded by europe over the refusal to present software companies the codes that will allow their products to work beside Vista. Even the norton antivirus I have is incompatible and I have to upgrade, my games won't function any. Wait until the court cases are over and possibly it will be better. Stay next to XP for in a minute and everything you enjoy will still work.
