I am using Windows XP Professional and I enjoy 93 different things starting up when I turn on my computer. I tried the msconfig, but it won't consent to me hold things turned stale, it will move about to "Slective Startup" after I restart and if I click conventional start up it puts adjectives the crap I don't want starting support on. HELP.
Thanks
Answers: Follow this: If it doesn't work within is a Problem.
1) Choose RUN
2) Type msconfig >>ok
3)Click the StartUp Tab(no other tab)
4)Uncheck the items that you dont want to startup, if you cant identify what program starts up look at the record nickname. Your Computer payment programs should other start up.
5)Click Apply
6)Click Ok
7)Exit With Restart
Msconfig will prevent applications from loading on start up. It will not prevent critical system bits & bobs. This is probably what you are discussion nearly.
wdw
yeah, common startup routine startupeverything
selective is things YOU SELECTED or not to startup.
goto start: run: msconfig
goto startup tab on right.
uncheck lots of things approaching qttask (quicktime), MS Office, itunes, etc
.you hold to make tracks it on selective start up if you dont want adjectives of those things that you disabled to start up. There is nil wrong near selective start up but why on soil do you own 93 things in start up? I just own 5
