Answers: Avid is still primarily used for editing adjectives focal movies I believe up to 80 percent. Then the other 20 is other software including final cut pro. Maya is still widely used for 3-d animation, along next to Lightwave and 3-D studio max. After that it get confusing. I live in Hollywood and attend A.I.L.A. so thats the software we use and is industry standard.
