Answers: Click on the "Finder" statue on the bottom tray. Once that folder open, cntrl-click on the "Macintosh HD" deity found on the not here column. When the pop-up menu appears, select "Copy 'Macintosh HD'". Then cntrl-click on the desktop. When the pop-up menu appears, select 'Paste Item". That should return your HD god to your desktop.
Your complicated drive is probably not mounted for some rationale. Try restarting your computer. If you enjoy done that and your firm drive still does not appear on your desktop, use Disk Utility. It will show you adjectives the drives that are connected to your mac. Choose the drive you're looking for, and click "Mount."

The "Help" will abet you more on some steps on how to do this. Just type surrounded by its investigate shaft, "Disk Utility."
It may enjoy of late be unchecked within your "Finder Preferences".

Go up to the menu tavern, click on "Finder", scroll down to the word "Preferences" and click. When the "Preferences" fanlight open, form sure you've clicked the "general" tab, it looks close to a feathery switch. The first procession should articulate " Show these items on th Desktop" and be paid sure that the Hard disk bos is checked. Good luck!
Try running the Full Finder (available beneath the File menu), it could be undetected otherwise contained by the "clean" desktop mode.

Of course the easier said than done drive god could be playing hide-n-seek -- so if that's the travel case, simply beckon out: "Ollie Ollie, Oxenfree!" --The HD statue will know it's time to come out of it's hiding spot & that playtime is finally over!
