Word document locked?

I hold Word 2002 on my laptop and it say the document is locked for stifle and it is a read-only profile, so I can't type anything on a unsullied document or any mature ones. I clciked back but it said to click outline and it wouldn't agree to me click outline. I don't judge it's a virus because I don't own internet or email on the laptop. I tried to liberate it underneath a different pet name but it wouldn't consent to me click put aside or free as, so I go to my documents and changed the first name but that didn't work any. So I don't know what I'm doing wrong. If someone could minister to me that would be awesome.

Answers: This sounds approaching you have a trial altered copy that expired after, read out, 30 days. That's normally the suitcase currently near Office/Word 2007 on hot Vista machines, but near 2002?

Still, if this fits your situation, that could explain things.

The solution would be:

1. Do zilch and be inept to use any files you've created.
2. Buy a unadulterated edition of Office.
3. Download OpenOffice. It's free, and some empire around here swear by it.

Hope that help.
See if this will oblige. With Word closed, do a furrow on your c:drive for everyday.dot. Rename it to majority.out-of-date and later widen Word and close it again. This will create a unmarked typical.dot. Reopen it again and see if you can expurgate the document. Also check if here is a database contained by matching directory where on earth you save the one you can't initiate that starts near a "~". You may enjoy to turn on mysterious files to see it. Delete that file. Hope this help. Cheers!
