You own a home framework composed of a Linux box, and two Windows PCs; you own a printer that you longing to attach to the Linux computer, and still know how to print your Windows files from the Windows machines. You hold Samba running on the Linux PC.
All I call for is an overview outline of how you might start a project similar to this one.
Answers: I use gutsy gibbon instead of samba, as long as the driver is installed on the Linux PC later you can configure printer sharing using standard print protocols, you could do this in terminal if you consistency close to typeing in the configuration by foot, most of us are a touch too indolent for this, I individually plan on using my program for doing this (I'm bootewd into Windows right very soon so I don't remember what the program cross is but when I boot into Linux in a few I will record the program here. The huge problem here is that not adjectives distros hold the most up-to-date driver installed for your printer and making one is a huge ordeal, companies are not other the most paying special attention to Linux users probably because they own software contracts next to companies that create non GNU software. Best and easiest solution? A stand alone print server attached to your switch (assuming you aren't using a proxy server which almost not a soul does anymore).
im guessing you may or may not stipulation a print server or a router near a hookup to pug contained by a printer for framework use.
