once it get over the start up sequence it manage to stay on and work fine for hours!

Answers: It could be that it is using too copious resources to start up such as too lots programs that start when you start windows
Start>Run>type in MSCONFIG>Startup tab - uncheck any program you don't want to run when you start Windows

If u hold IE7, next it happen. I hold done everything, i am a sys admin, but still take 5 minutes to competent to use window.
Instead of shutdown, use hibernate. I am using it, it save my time.
